The Fundación General CSIC was created to foster the private funding of public research. It therefore aims to play a role in structuring the interaction between the various social agents involved in RTD.

To achieve its main goal, of which the immediate result will be an increase in private investment in R&D, the Foundation plans to carry out a series of actions from which all the parties involved will benefit.

What can the Foundation do for you?

If you are a company,

We can offer you the chance to invest in a series of projects (Proyectos Cero)set in the context of our Strategic Lines.
We can provide guidance and advice on your research initiatives, look for solutions to meet your R&D needs, and manage the launch of your projects with those research groups offering the best match to your needs and interests. (Project Networking).
We can provide a range of consulting services oriented towards obtaining maximum value from your activity, optimising your resources, and in short, enhancing your returns (Services).

If you are a public institution,

Starting our from our own tried and tested methodology, the Foundation has the resources necessary to help you prepare a strategic plan for your institution.
We can also analyse scientific output and conduct science and technology assessment to determine the scientific capacity of a centre or research group, and carry out the monitoring of research programmes and R&D investments.
You can benefit from our FGCSIC-Sabbatical Chairs and Fundación General CSIC Laboratories programme, hosting researchers of international standing at your research centre, and Proyectos Sémina, including young university students with a strong interest in pursuing a scientific career in your projects.
We also offer an R&D Search Engine, and a R&D Status Map,, a tool with which to detect scientific activity worldwide and filter the search results by research areas, the quantity and impact of papers published and the scope of a particular piece of research.

If you are a researcher,
given that the Fundación General CSIC's aim is to stimulate R&D by promoting increased participation by the private sector in R&D funding, a large part of our activity is expressly aimed at researchers.

If you are a student,
The Foundation seeks to promote quality research and lend its support to researchers right from the early stages of their scientific careers. To do so, it runs periodic calls for candidates from among university students in the final years of their degrees

If you are a foundation,

We would like to invite you to create spaces of collaboration with us in the form of the organisation of conferences, seminars, lectures and other events implying a convergence of interests between both parties.
We can also offer the option of collaborating with us in funding those of the Foundation's projects that may be of interest to you (Proyectos Cero).
