The FGCSIC’s Proyectos Cero projects are based on public-private partnerships to support R&D. The aim is to further unique and outstanding world-class research from a transdisciplinary perspective. To date, the Fundación General CSIC has run two calls for proposals:
The FGCSIC is a private, non-profit entity set up in 2008 by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) with key support from its patrons. Our aim is to promote public-private partnerships to support R&D, both in the CSIC and other public research institutions.
ComFuturo is an initiative developed by the FGCSIC for the collaboration of the public and private sectors to retain our most talented young researchers within the Spanish Science and Technology system and promote research and innovation to help address the future challenges of society.
The FGCSIC, to strengthen its role as an entity in charge of encouraging the transfer of knowledge, aims its activities towards the classification of current technological demands, with the help of its know-how and own tools. The FGCSIS also aims to support initiatives that can satisfy said demands from CSIC’s fields of activity and in partnership with other scientific bodies.

The ScienSeek search engine is a web-based tool that helps find online content related only to scientific research. By filtering the results using our own database of institutions and scientific resources we cut down the number of irrelevant results from non-scientific sites.
The “Envejecer en positivo” blog was conceived to report on one of our strategic areas (Ageing, disability and illness), provide a positive image of the ageing process and offer a meeting point for those users interested in this area of knowledge.
